Entelechy Equestrian & The Dynamic Performance Hub are looking for an experienced Groom/Yard Manager with Client Relationship Responsibilities to join our team in support of elite athlete ambitions.
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Equestrian Groom/Yard Manager to join our team and contribute to the growth of a unique service to elite athletes. This is a special opportunity, for an individual with strong entrepreneurial interests, organisational abilities and a deep understanding of 5* horse care, to excel and grow in a dynamic environment.
Located 15mins from Hartpury and catering for National, International and Olympic athletes, we offer a dynamic and varied work environment for someone who wants to contribute to the success of our client athletes and their horses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Horse Care Excellence: Oversee the daily care and well-being of our equine residents, ensuring their health, comfort, and safety are top priorities. Coordinate feeding, grooming, and exercise routines to maintain the highest standard of horse care.
- Client Relations: Cultivate strong relationships with our athletes, Hub members, staff and horse owners, understanding their unique preferences and needs. Effectively communicate with clients, addressing any concerns and providing regular updates on activities at the Hub.
- Facility Management: Co-ordinate the day-to-day operations of the equestrian yard, including scheduling, maintenance, and organisation. Ensure that facilities are impeccably clean, well-maintained, and equipped to meet the specific needs of competition horses and athletes.
- Team Leadership: As we grow, help hire and create a team of skilled grooms and support staff, providing guidance, training, and supervision. Foster a positive, fun and collaborative work environment that promotes professionalism and growth.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Uphold strict health and safety protocols to guarantee the well-being of all personnel, clients, and horses on the premises.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in yard management and performance/competition horse care is essential.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Knowledge and passion for equestrian olympic disciplines and of industry standards and practices.
- Organisational and problem-solving aptitude.
- Passion for horses and a commitment to their welfare.
